SWXRIGHTNOW.COM - The United States Soccer Federation has announced the name of the man who will replace Pia Sundhage at the head of the Women's National Team.
Tom Sermanni has been in charge of the Australian Women's National Team since 2004 and coached them to a top 10 FIFA ranking. He will now work with stars like Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan to keep the United states at the top of the International Rankings, and hopefully bring home a World Cup Trophy in 2015.
Sunil Gulati, president of the U.S. Soccer Federation, said Sermanni has "the knowledge, experience and vision to take on the challenge of keeping our team at the top of the world."
He has big shoes to fill as the new coach of Team U.S.A., as Sundhage finished her tenure as Team U.S.A.'s coach with a record of 91-6-10.
