Cyrus O'leary's Being Demolished

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Closed for more than a year, Cyrus O'Leary's is being demolished.

For over 3 decades, Cyrus O'Leary's fed Spokane and created memories for thousands of families.

Its distinctive look inside and out made it stand out among the other buildings surrounding it in downtown Spokane.

The restaurant is now empty as it begins to disappear.

Last September the eatery on Main and Washington closed its doors for the last time.

Owner Erkki Oranen says a steady decline in sales and business left him unable to afford their lease.

Property owners have yet to make a final decision on what to do with the site once the building is gone.

The good news is even though the restaurant is gone, their famous pies are sticking around.

The factory in Airway Heights has not been effected by the closing of the restaurant and are still available in local grocery stores.
