Roos Field Sold Out For Saturday's Game

By Nick Wood

Cheney, Wash.- Saturday's non-conference match up between No. 7 Eastern Washington (6-2 overall, 5-1 Big Sky) and No. 16 Cal Poly (7-1 overall, 5-1 Big Sky) at Roos Field is sold out.

The two teams meet for the sixth time in both school's history with Eastern leading the series 3-2, after defeating the Mustangs in a triple overtime thriller in San Luis Obispo 53-51.

Both teams come into the match up after road losses. The Eagles lost their number one national ranking, at the hands of Southern Utah 30-27 on a last second field goal. The Mustangs had their eight game losing streak, dating back to last year, snapped at Sacramento State 35-29.

Saturday's game could decide the Big Sky title, as it will be used as the tiebreaker if the Eagles and Mustangs tie atop the Big Sky Standings. Both teams are currently a half game behind league leader Northern Arizona (7-1 overall, 5-0 Big Sky). The Lumberjacks travel to Pocatello to face Idaho State on Saturday.
