SLIDESHOW: Two Moose Take A Sunday Stroll Through Airway Heights

Posted: Updated:

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. - Sunday afternoon, we here in the KHQ newsroom heard the term "Moose Paparazzi" come over the scanner and we just had to know what was going on. So we sent out photographer Dave out to the west plains to check on the call.

A short time later Dave called back and told us Airway Heights Police and Spokane County Deputies were in the process of trying to usher two moose out of town near the Yoke's grocery store off of Highway 2.

The "Moose Paparazzi" was apparently all the residents who grabbed their cameras to capture the event. While the moose were neat to look at, law enforcement was advising everyone to stay away from them and get in their homes in case they decided to charge. We are told officers and deputies were able to escort the moose out of town and all is well now.
