Washington Husky fans are learning something football fans in Spokane have known for years: Bishop Sankey can run.

Sankey, formerly a Gonzaga Prep star, is now in his sophomore season at Washington. So far this season he's rushed for 855 yards and 11 touchdowns. He ran for 189 last weekend against Cal.

Yes, the young man can run.

Riley Breckenridge wrote a piece for SBNation this week, saying Sankey is "emerging as a force in the Huskies' backfield."

Indeed, he is making a name for himself. Many of us who watched him run over the Greater Spokane League are now saying "we told you so."
