UPDATE: The water has been shutoff. The woman driver was cited. She was not hurt. As soon as we get more details we'll post them here on KHQ.com, Facebook and our Twitter news feed.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Right now emergency crews are on the scene of a driver that has crashed into a fire hydrant. It happened at Hawthorne & Nevada just a short time ago. There are no reports of any injuries. Right now crews are trying to get the water to stop gushing out of the ground. All drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
