KHQ.COM - A woman is asking for a divorce after her husband refused to recreate sex scenes from the racy and erotic novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey." The 41-year-old British banker reportedly wanted to re-ignite the spark with her husband in the bedroom which she felt had been out for some time.
She had been reading the book which describes in detail risque sex-scenes including bondage and other kinky sexual activities and hoped her husband would be as eager as she to role play the scenes in their own bedroom.
The woman's attorney, Amanda McAlister, told the Daily Mail, "She thought their sex life had hit a rut - he never remembered Valentine's Day and he never complimented her on her appearance. So she bought sexy underwear in an attempt to get her husband more involved. She said, 'Let's make things more interesting.' But when he still didn't take any notice she told him he had a boring attitude to sex and she was fed up."
Upon asking her husband to participate in her fantasy, he went "ballistic" saying "It's all because you have been reading that bloody book!" That's when she decided to file for divorce. The woman's husband has reportedly agreed to grounds for the divorce under English law so the divorce can happen quickly and not be drug out.
"Fifty Shades of Grey," written by E. L. James, sold more than 40 million copies worldwide and this is the first time the book has ever been cited in a divorce proceeding.
