IDAHO - Tuesday we learned Idaho has been added to the list of states where petitions are being gathered to secede from the union.
Under the "We The People" program, petitioners need at least 25-thousand signatures within 30 days for their request to be reviewed. After that, the White House will issue a response to their request to leave the union. "We The People" is a web site branch of the White House, created by President Obama and meant to make Government issues more transparent.
Idaho currently has an online petition with more than 1-thousand signatures to peacefully withdraw from the United States, and create its own government.
The petitions don't mean that any sort of legal or political action will be taken, simply that the issue being petitioned can get an official response from the President's administration if it receives 25-thousand signatures in 30-days.
There is also a petition going around to counter all of the recent secession petitions. It basically calls for the deportation of everyone who signed a secession petition. You can view it by clicking HERE.
