"People say Washington State may not be the best (golf) school, but it's all, it's Pac-12 and I'm going to be playing against all of the best players in the world. All of the best college athletes, for golf, usually stay in the Pac-12."

Connell's Ashley Thompson signed with BYU to a softball scholarship. Thompson helped lead Connell to back-to-back 1A softball titles. She also excels in the classroom with a 4. gpa. Thompson talks about her choice to BYU after de-committing to UW.

"I think it's a great fit for me as far as the values that they have there. I feel like I can relate very well there and I feel like it well be easier for me as far as that aspect of it. and I love the coaches the girls, everyone, just I feel like I mesh with them,"said Thompson. "A huge weights off my shoulders. I feel so blessed that, you know, I have this opportunity."
