Spokane Indians Announce 2013 Schedule

SPOKANE, WASH. - The Spokane Indians have announced their schedule for the 2013 Northwest League regular season which is slated to begin on Friday, June 14th against the Everett AquaSox for a three-game series at Avista Stadium.

The 76-game season features 38 home and 38 road games, with the first half of the regular season ending on Monday, July 22nd and the second half concluding on Monday, September 2nd.

Spokane will once again be home for two holidays in 2013 including the Father's Day Game on Sunday, June 16th and the highly-anticipated Independence Day Fireworks on July 4th which features the pre-game 5K Pennant Run.

Fans can also look forward to enjoying a new concessions stand, team store, updated restrooms, and repaved outer concourse as part of Avista Stadium's off season renovation project. Parking will continue to be FREE for all 38 home games.

Due to Yakima moving to Hillsboro, the NWL has undergone a division realignment for the 2013 season with Tri-City, Spokane, Vancouver and Everett forming the North Division and Eugene, Salem-Keizer, Boise and newcomer Hillsboro rounding out the South Division. Spokane will play a total of 12 games against each North opponent and 10 games apiece against each South opponent.

The 2013 season also marks the return of the NWL All-Star Game; the first since 2004. The event will be hosted by the AquaSox at Everett Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, August 6th and will coincide with an All-Star Break that runs from August 5th-7th.

Playoff procedures for the upcoming season remain unchanged as both the first and second half winners of each division will square off in a three-game series for the right to compete in the NWL Championship.

A full promotional schedule and game times will be announced in the spring. Fans can anticipate many of the same signature promotions that have made the Indians the top family destination in Eastern Washington including fireworks, Yoke's Family Feast Nights, and community events such as the Pennant Run, Pitch for the Cure, and Ride the Bases.
