RICHLAND, Wash. -- Hanford High School senior Sierra Troxel will play Division 1 tennis. She signed a letter of intent with Lipscomb University in Nashville. Last season Troxel won the district singles title. She finished third in the 3A state tournament. Troxel says what she thinks will be different at the college level.

"There's only seven girls in the team. We're all just going to be so close with our coach and getting to compete with other girls at the same level. You don't really find that in the high school level or even in USTA, that close bond. So it's probably the bond and team aspect I'm most excited about," Troxel said.
