SPOKANE, Wash. - Many children in Spokane don't have the luxury of being able to read books. Not because they can't read, but because they simply cannot afford them. That's why KHQ takes part in the Success By 6 Book Drive.
The Success By 6 Book Drive aims to collect new and or gently used books for the children of Spokane.
In past drives, we were able to donate over 100,000 books to the children of Spokane, and this year, we aim to do more
KHQ reporter Kjerstin Ramsing spoke with two boys from Windsor Elementary who shared why they feel donating books is important and special.
Jarom Kimball (5th Grader): "It's fun like some books thrill you some mystify you and make you think, really think."
Dawson Heuett (4th Grader): "It's kinda like the golden rule if you do something nice to other people they may do something back."
Windsor Elementary is collecting till Monday, November 19th.
