UPDATE: Car Crashes Into Building in Spokane Valley

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Law enforcement officials are investigating a car crash that happened in Spokane Valley near Pines & Boone Saturday morning.

Officials say they arrived shortly after 6:00am to find the vehicle completely inside the Doty & Giles Insurance Professionals building.

Prior to the crash police had received calls about the vehicle driving erratically in the area. The driver eventually swerved off the road at Pines & Boone, through a parking lot and completely into the building.

The driver, identified as 37-year-old Brandon Laudenslager of Spokane, was still in the vehicle when police arrived. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved, but law enforcement told KHQ Laudenslager was acting "funny." He will be tested at the hospital for drugs and/or alcohol.

Officials said they are also looking into the possibility that the car was stolen.

The crash remains under investigation.
