Americans Look Forward to Double Dose of Chiefs

Posted: Updated:

Kennewick, Wash. - The Tri-City Americans hope to carry the confidence and excitement of playing with Carey Price this week, into the weekend where the Ams will play another familiar foe, the Spokane Chiefs on back-to-back nights. Last week the Ams played Kelowna in consecutive nights, but this weekend the series is a home and home. The Americans talk about what makes this back-to-backer different.

"Our Energy come from the fact that we're changing buildings this coming weekend. Going into Spokane, which is a huge rink and always full when we play there. So it's going to add that extra little bit of intensity, I guess and juice for the guys. But the preparation and the adjustments you make after Friday are the same," said Dan Price, Americans assistant coach.

"It's a lot more, exciting. Because you have both atmospheres, with being our home rink first. Then we get the away rink there and its always exciting when you play Spokane," added Drydn Dow, Americans defenseman.
