Retailers Look To Get In The Black

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Now that Thanksgiving is over, it is time to get going on holiday shopping.

Retailers looking to get a jump on sales are offering specials on everything from diamond earrings and watches to TVs and tablets.

The only catch, only a few of the deeply discounted items were available at each store, meaning shoppers had to start lining up early.

For most, that meant an early turkey dinner followed by coffee and hot chocolate in camping chairs outside of stores.

Some people even went without Thanksgiving dinner, all for a chance at a 50" LED television.

For shoppers like sisters Amber and Emily, Black Friday is quickly becoming a holiday tradition.

Every year the two wait out in the cold as they start their Christmas shopping.

If you weren't able to make it out Thursday night, a lot of the sales go through Friday afternoon.

Just be sure you bring a warm coat and your patience, stores will be very busy.
