
OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM THE GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On Monday at approximately 6:30 deputies were dispatched to a
robbery that had just occurred on Shaw St. NE. Deputies arrived in the area and
contacted the 63-year-old male victim of Moses Lake.
Deputies were told
by the victim that he was working as a taxi driver and had just arrived in the
1300 block of Shaw St NE. to pick up a fare. The victim told deputies that a
large black male and a skinny Hispanic male got into his vehicle, physically
assaulted him by grabbing him around the neck and holding a knife to the side of
his head demanded the victim's wallet which he produced to the suspects.
The
victim said that the suspects exited the vehicle and took off running on foot
between the near by houses. The victim did not sustain any injury but was shaken
up in the ordeal.
This case is still being actively investigated by the
Sheriff's Office and anyone who may have information about this case is asked to
