What Max Browne did on Saturday didn't show up in the record books, but it surely made college coaches take notice – as if they needed another highlight to know the Skyline quarterback is one of the best in the country.

Browne, playing in this past weekend's semifinal against Camas threw a trick play bounce pass to a receiver, who then hurled the ball downfield for a 50-yard touchdown strike.

The ball was thrown backwards behind the line of scrimmage, thus making it a live ball. The receiver first acted like the play was dead, and then threw the ball to an open receiver down the right sideline.

Browne, committed to USC, finished the game 29-of-32 for 387 yards and four touchdowns.

Skyline plays Bellarmine Prep in the Tacoma Dome on Saturday in the 4A championship game.
