Boise St. & Washington To Meet In Las Vegas Bowl

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - The Las Vegas Bowl will have a Northwest flavor with a matchup featuring No. 20 Boise State and Washington.

The Broncos and Huskies accepted invitations to the Dec. 22 bowl Sunday, setting up just the second-ever matchup between the two schools from neighboring states.

The Broncos (10-2) have played in the Las Vegas Bowl each of the last two years, beating Arizona State last year and Utah the year before.

Washington (7-5) is making its third straight bowl appearance.

The Broncos earned the invitation after knocking off Nevada on Saturday to earn a share of the Mountain West Conference title with Fresno State and San Diego State.

The Huskies beat Boise State 24-10 in their first meeting in Seattle in 2009, snapping the Broncos' 14-game winning streak.
