Americans look to ride momentum into upcoming schedule

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- This week the Tri-City Americans take on the Seattle Thunderbirds and Portland Winterhawks. Thursday the Ams start at home against the Birds. Then the Ams play a home-and-home series with the Hawks. Tri-City looks forward to the upcoming games, especially after Saturday's great comeback victory in Vancouver.

"It's for sure going to help us in the week upcoming, especially against Portland twice, tough team in Seattle. They just beat Kamloops. So we'll have to be good again. It'll definitely help with this week upcoming," defenseman Wil Tomchuk said.

"Some disappointing results obviously in Kelowna and Kamloops, tight games in the 3rd periods where the other team happened to get a timely goal late. But it was the opposite in Vancouver. It was probably as timely a goal as we've seen all year for our team." assistant coach Dan Price added.
