SPOKANE, Wash. - Washingtonians are expected to buy and use more than 187,000 pounds of marijuana in just the one year. 

That's all according to the fiscal impact statement prepared by the Office of Financial Management. In one year revenues are expected to be nearly $16 million dollars. In just five years, tax revenue from the sale of Marijuana is expected to be in the billions of dollars.

The big question is, where does all that money go? There are 12 different state agencies that will get a portion of the expected revenue from the sale of marijuana. Universities will get a share, as well as part of it going into the general fund and the Department of Health and Social Services gets their fair share.

The vast majority though will go to the Basic Health Plan Trust Account, which is a state-sponsored program providing low-cost health care coverage through private health plans.

These are just estimated numbers. Look for a full list of exactly which agencies get what.
