Spokane Valley Police: Wanted Felon Apprehended

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE VALLEY POLICE DEPT: On Thursday, December 6, 2012, at about 8:00 p.m., 911 received a call from a citizen stating that they were expecting 32-year-old Glen Bill at their residence sometime that evening. 

Bill had an active felony Department of Corrections Escape warrant and information was provided by the citizen, who was a family member, that he was possibly armed with a stolen firearm.

Bill's family member told Sheriff's Deputies they would let them know where Bill was when he called because they were worried about his safety. At about 11:30 p.m., a family member contacted Deputy C. Eaton and told him Bill had called and said he was walking in the area of Mirabeau Park by the river in Spokane Valley.
 
About an hour later, Sheriff's Corporal J. Elliott was near the 13200 block of East Mirabeau Park Drive when he saw a male matching Bill's description walking westbound on Mirabeau. 
 
Corporal Elliott, a Spokane Police Department K9 unit, Air1 and several additional deputies responded to the scene. Bill was ordered multiple times to lie on the ground and refused to obey any commands by deputies. Not only was Bill ignoring commands, he was reaching for his waistband and a duffel bag he had in his possession.
 
Having information Bill may be armed with a stolen firearm, the SPD K9 unit was deployed allowing units on scene to safely take Bill into custody. A stolen .40 caliber handgun was located inside Bill's duffel bag along with a baggie of methamphetamine.

Bill was booked into the Spokane County Jail on the charges of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Stolen Property 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.

    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.- What started as an investigation into two wedding thieves, turned into the discovery of a prostitution operation. You might remember back in August, a couple that crashed a wedding at the Mirabeau Park Hotel. A box filled with wedding gifts and cards were gone. Eventually, Sierra and Josh Davies were arrested for it. Josh remains in the Spokane County Jail, facing 22 charges ranging from theft to money laundering. Sierra is facing brand new charges: prostitution.

The Montana Wildlife Federation is asking Arby's to reconsider its rollout of limited edition venison and elk sandwiches, which is set to begin Saturday. The elk sandwiches are available at only three locations nationwide, one of which is in Billings. MWF's Executive Director Dave Chadwick explained their issue is with Arby's use of farm-raised
