Man Who Shot CDA Officer's House Complains Of Affair - Spokane, North Idaho News & Weather KHQ.com

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) - A disgruntled husband who was convicted last year of shooting into a Coeur d'Alene Police Department officer's home has subsequently complained that the police man was having an inappropriate affair with his wife that violated the agency's policies.

The Coeur d'Alene Press reports Officer Eric Johnson is now being investigated by the department. Last August, Raymond J. Ward, 44, fired a single round into the doorway of Johnson's home.

This April, Ward was sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to misdemeanor battery.

Over the summer, however, Ward filed his complaint with the agency alleging Johnson's affair with his wife violated the department's code of conduct.

Coeur d'Alene Police officials declined comment on their probe.

Ward and his former wife divorced in April, according to court records.
