Idaho Man Charged, Arranged To Meet 13-Year-Old For Sex

Posted: Updated:

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A 31-year-old Boise man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual enticement of a minor over the Internet after arriving at a convenience store to meet someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl for a sexual encounter.

Court records say Randy Wade Standlee was arrested Wednesday evening after arranging to meet the "girl," who was actually an Ada County sheriff's detective.

Standlee was scheduled to make an initial court appearance Thursday.

The sheriff's office estimates it has made 50 arrests while running similar sting operations since 1999 as part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
