ELLENSBURG, Wash. - An 18-year-old man died and four other people were injured Saturday morning in a collision east of Ellensburg, said the Washington State Patrol.

Several media outlets are reporting that all the persons involved in the crash, including the man killed, were students at Washington State University. Troopers said a vehicle was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 when the vehicle lost control on icy roads around 10:40 a.m.

The vehicle left the roadway near Milepost 123 and rolled over.
Crews responded to the scene, and found five occupants of the vehicle. According to State Patrol, one person died at the scene, and four others, including the driver, were injured and taken to Kittitas Valley Community Hospital.  Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Troopers said the cause of the collision was speeding too fast for the road conditions.
