US Seeks To Pressure NKorea Over Rocket Launch

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. says North Korea's rocket launch in defiance of a U.N. ban has left it no option but to seek to further isolate the government.
    
State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland on Monday dismissed the notion of moving now to restart six-nation talks on the North's nuclear program. Talks have been stalled since 2009.
    
She said U.S. efforts last year to seek an opening with the North's young leader Kim Jong Un were spurned through the North's launches of long-range rockets in April and last week. Nuland was referring to a February offer of food aid in exchange for a nuclear freeze and test moratorium.
    
The U.S. and allies are pushing for tighter sanctions in the U.N. Security Council. It's unclear if China will go along.

    BREAKING NEWS - The Medical Examiner's Office has revised the death toll in the Moore, Oklahoma tornado from 91 people to at least 24 people.
    UPDATE: Originally the death toll was reported to be 91 people and counting, however, the Medical examiner's office revised the death toll from the Oklahoma tornado to at least 24 people. A spokeswoman said Tuesday morning that she believes some victims were counted twice in the early chaos of the storm.
