Tuel Drops Pursuit of Fifth Year, Turns Attention to NFL Draft

Washington State quarterback Jeff Tuel said Tuesday he would not seek a fifth year of eligibility and would instead turn his attention to the NFL draft.

Tuel told the Seattle Times he "feel(s) good about his chances" in the draft.

Washington State initially tired to get Tuel another year in the program because he missed almost all of the 2011 season. He broke his collarbone in the third series of the Cougars' opening game against Idaho State that season, returned for one game mid-season and then re-injured his collarbone in Game 7 against Oregon State.

On Tuesday Tuel said through Twitter:

"I will forever cherish my time at WSU. Thanks to all who supported and cheered for me. I hope to make you proud at the next level #GoCougs"
