UPDATE: After further investigation Major Crime Detectives have arrested 25-year-old Brian Reinhart and 42-year-old Dwayne Hackley for the crime of 1st Degree Assault. The male adult victim remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On, December 19, 2012, at about 2:15 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a business near the 4200 block of E. Westwood Avenue to a possible stabbing call. Deputies arrived on scene and located a male subject with apparent stab wounds lying unconscious on the ground in the parking lot.  He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
 
A short time after the incident, two adult males contacted 911 and said they had been the ones attacked by the male unconscious in the parking lot. Both subjects have been detained while Major Crimes Detectives continue the investigation.
 
Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives and Spokane County Forensics personnel processed the crime scene this morning. Anyone who may have witnessed this altercation is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

UPDATE: The victim is in critical condition. 3 people including the victim were involved. This could have been a case of self defense, we're awaiting more details from authorities on scene.

UPDATE: Authorities tell KHQ that the stabbing happened at the Prime Tyme Bar in Chattaroy after a bar fight broke out.

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Spokane Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a stabbing north of Chattaroy on Highway 2.

Deputies processing evidence at the scene on the 4200 Block of East Westwood Ave. say it happened just after 2AM.
