Posted: Updated:

KNDU.COM - The new year's holiday is the deadliest day of the year on the road for alcohol related fatalities.

A new report by AAA also finds nine out of 10 drivers feel their lives are threatened by others drinking and driving.

Washington and Oregon law enforcement have added more officers for their holiday DUI patrols lasting through January 2nd.

Last year the Washington State Patrol says they arrested more than 200 people for drunk driving in Yakima County.

In Benton and Franklin Counties 131 people were arrested for DUI.
