KNDU.COM - To avoid stolen or lost Christmas presents, the Insurance Information Institute says getting them insured is a good idea.

Any insurance agent can find out if a gift has a "replacement cost" or "actual cash value" policy.

The Insurance Information Institute says to keep a copy of the store receipt and get them item appraised. They also say to keep a visual record of the item.

    UPDATE: Originally the death toll was reported to be 91 people and counting, however, the Medical examiner's office revised the death toll from the Oklahoma tornado to at least 24 people. A spokeswoman said Tuesday morning that she believes some victims were counted twice in the early chaos of the storm.
