Both teams got out to a sluggish start, but only Idaho men's basketball broke free in a 64-55 Western Athletic Conference win at San Jose State on Thursday at The Event Center.

In the first seven minutes of the game, Idaho (6-6, 2-0 WAC) and San Jose State (7-6, 2-1 WAC) combined to shoot just 24.1 percent from the floor (7-of-29). Idaho got back into rhythm and finished the game shooting 25-of-50 (.500) overall, but the Spartans never gained their shooting touch with a final tally of 20-of-71 (.282) overall and 3-of-20 (.150) from 3-point range.

Senior Kyle Barone led Idaho with 16 points and a season-high 13 rebounds. It was his third-consecutive double-double and his 15th of the career. It was also the first time in his career that he registered a double-double in three-straight games.
