Posted: Updated:

Bobby Cowan, the University of Idaho's punter for the past four seasons, has been chosen to play in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

A native of Vancouver, Wash., Cowan set the standard for the Vandals and is one of the talented draft-eligible seniors competing in the all-star game on Saturday, January 19, at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills at Carson, Calif. Kickoff is 3 p.m. PT, and the game will be televised live on ESPN2. ESPNU will also air live broadcasts from practices on Thursday, January 17.

Cowan was a four-year starter for the Vandals. He has started every game at punter after redshirting in 2008. During his senior season, he solidified himself as Idaho's all-time leading punter averaging 43.1 yards on 70 punts. Cowan ended his Idaho career being the punting average record holder (44.7) as well as the record holder for total punts (259) and punting yards (11,570).
