Boy Suffers Broken Leg At Daycare, Man Arrested
GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - A 27-year-old Great Falls man faces a felony aggravated assault charge after a 2-year-old boy suffered broken bones in his lower leg while at a daycare.
Police arrested Jordan Stone on Monday after investigating the boy's injuries.
Lt. Shane Sorensen tells the Great Falls Tribune (http://gftrib.com/VQjbHP ) that daycare employees called the child's mother Monday morning to tell her it appeared her son's leg was broken. She told them to also call 911.
Sorensen says detectives determined Stone was caring for the boy when he was injured. Police reports indicate Stone gave detectives numerous accounts of what allegedly occurred.
Emergency room doctors determined the breaks to the boy's tibia and fibula were caused by "non-accidental trauma."
Stone has not appeared in court on the charge.
