U.S. Geological Survey: Earthquake Near Omak
OMAK, Wash. (AP) - The U. S. Geological Survey says an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 rattled the Omak area at 5:39 a.m. Tuesday.
A dispatcher for the Okanogan County sheriff's office says it had one call from someone who felt the quake, but no reports of damage.

DODSON, Mont. - Two people were injured in Montana Wednesday morning after swerving to avoid a kangaroo on the road. Trooper Matt Finley with the Montana Highway Patrol said he thought it was a joke when he responded to the call, but when he arrived at about 4 a.m. he saw the kangaroo.
