SPOKANE, Wash. - It was eviction day for residents of "Tent City" under an I-90 viaduct. Residents there had been given 24-hours to evacuate or they could end up facing jail time.
Many have left, but some still continue to stay.
Doug Sebolt is one of the few remaining at Tent City. KHQ reporter Alex Rozier had a chance to speak with Doug today who told us his plans for evacuating, "I'm thinking about it. Someone gave me a card for SNAP. Then I could get a subsidized place, live like a normal citizen."
Doug went on to say that if things don't work out than he'll be forced to hitchhike all the way to Tucson. the temperature was reported to be 50 degrees today. Doug said that might not be to bad a change.
