SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Search and Rescue Team spent the day at Riverside State Park honing their survival skills. The volunteers were tested on how well they could survive in the woods, in case they were stranded on their search.
Another thing they were tested on was their searching skills, and how they would respond in different circumstances. The participants made shelters and fires all day. One thing that the instructors said to always do if you are heading outside for a trip in the woods, always tell someone where and when you are going to be out and stick to that plan.
