SPOKANE, Wash. -

Fans hoping to see the matchup between Gonzaga's guards and Butler's leading scorer Rotnei Clarke will surely be disappointed to hear Clarke will not be playing on Saturday.

Clarke suffered a neck injury in the Bulldogs' win over Dayton last weekend and has been ruled out for this week's games, including Saturday's game against the Zags.

Clarke was carried off on a stretcher on Saturday after being fouled on a layup. The contact sent him crashing into the basket support. The Associated Press quoted the team trainer as saying he had a significant neck sprain, and that an MRI showed no fractures.
