OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CDA POLICE DEPT: On January 11th at approximately 10:45 pm a 21 year-old female reported to police that she had just been attacked by a male while walking in the area of W. Hubbard Ave. and N. College Drive. The victim said she lives in near the downtown area, and she walked to this area to catch a bus that goes to the Hogfish Bar.

The victim said a male approached her as he appeared from a construction area to the east. She said he spoke to her and then continued to follow her down the sidewalk. She stated she slowed to look at him, and he grabbed her from behind dragging her down to the ground.

The victim said the male attempted to sexually assault her, and she was fighting him off. She said she saw headlights from a vehicle coming from the round-a-bout area and he jumped up and ran away.

Within a few minutes the victim boarded the bus and told the driver what happened. He transported her to the Hogfish bar where she called police. If anyone has any information on this case they are asked to call the Coeur d'Alene Police Department at 208-769-2320.
