TERRACE HEIGHTS, Wash.-- Firefighters still don't know the cause of a fire that caused significant damage to a house in Terrace Heights last night.
Neighbors called 911 after they saw smoke coming out of a house on the 500 block of Justice Drive.
Crews responded to the call around seven last night.
They say when they got there, conditions had gotten significantly worse.
"When units got on scene there was heavy fire on the back of the structure which involved the upper level and the roof was already involved and it was venting out the roof when crews got on scene," said East Valley Fire Lieutenant Trevor Lenseigne.
Firefighters say they had the blaze out within 20 minutes.
The county fire marshal's office is looking into the cause. Damage to the house is estimated at more than 100-thousand dollars.
