Friday Night Fast Break Preview

  • Also on KHQ.comMore>>

It is an evening filled with great high school basketball matchups all around the Inland Northwest Friday. Here's a taste of what you can expect to find on Friday Night Fast Break.

Tonight in the girls matchups:

In the IEL 5A girls, Post Falls looks to rebound from its only loss of the season as it goes up against Lake City. Plus, division leading Coeur d'Alene takes on Lewiston, with both teams coming in with just one conference loss apiece.

After beating Gonzaga Prep last Friday to take over first place in the Greater Spokane League, Mead looks to remain atop the standings as it goes on the road to play Rogers. Meanwhile, Gonzaga Prep attempts to keep the pressure on the Panthers as it hosts North Central.

In Northeast 2B action, Northwest Christian and Colfax square off, with both teams only having two losses in conference this season. The last time these two teams played, Colfax beat NWC by just one point, 48-47. Sticking in the Northeast 2B, division-leading Reardan, which is undefeated in conference, travels to St. George's as they look to stay in first place.

On the boys side tonight:

Central Valley looks to stay undefeated in GSL play as it takes on Lewis and Clark. The last time they paired up, CV won a thriller, 42-40. Also in the GSL, second place Gonzaga Prep takes on a winless North Central team looking to shock the region.

On the Palouse, Northwest Christian heads south to takes on Colfax. Both teams come into the game at 7-3 in Northeast 2B play, tied with Lind-Ritzville/Sprague for second place. However, all three of those teams are still trying to make up ground on league-leader St. George's, which hopes to continue its undefeated run through the league in a duel at home against Reardan.

Tune in to Friday Night Fast Break for all of these highlights -- and plenty of others -- at 10:30 p.m. on SWX and 11:13 p.m. on KHQ.
