KHQ.COM - Snow started falling just before the rush hour commute Wednesday night, catching some drivers off guard.

Washington State Patrol officials say they are currently working on numerous slide off and wrecks around the region related to the current weather conditions.

Two specific ones that WSP know of are:Hwy 2 / Spotted Rd  and Newport Hwy / Elk-Chattaroy

Idaho State Police officials say there are no active crashes on any of the major or minor roadways.

Right now there are also no restrictions in the Idaho passes. There is a snow/rain mix on the roads, and traffic is moving slower along I-90 near Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls. ITD plows are out.

The snow is expected to stop falling by 10:00pm
