Job Title: Multimedia Journalist

Overview of Position:

Central Coast News is searching for a dynamic on air talent to anchor and produce our weekend newscasts and work as a weekday multi-media journalist.  Can you shoot, write, edit, enterprise unique stories and cover breaking news on multiple media platforms?  Are you curious and thrive on change?  This is job for you! We are looking for a aggressive MMJ that understands the importance of growing a facebook fanpage and twitter account.

 

Essential Job Duties:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

  • Producing 10/11 shows & evening teases
  • Set up, shoot, write and edit assigned stories
  • Special reports & investigative pieces as assigned
  • Ability to fill in for main talent when requested
  • Set up and run live truck when needed

 

Required Skills/Education/Certification:

  • Ability to shoot and edit
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Understand news video exists on three screens (TV, Internet & Mobile)
  • At least 3 years of journalism experience
  • Great attitude and leadership skills
