Job Title: Content Manager on Assignment Desk

Overview of Position:

Central Coast News is searching for assignment desk content manager.  Candidate must have great communication skills.  Also be able to assign crews to stories and breaking news.  Make calls to news sources as needed, gaining appropriate and actionable information.   

Essential Job Duties:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

• Plan news coverage as directed by news management
• Quality control of daily content  
• Understand the importance of facebook and twitter  
• Writing and posting for web
• Ability to multi-task is essential

Required Skills/Education/Certification:

• College Degree in Journalism or related field
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Understand news video exists on three screens (TV, Internet & Mobile)
• Great attitude and leadership skills
