WENATCHEE, Wash. - We've all been to sporting events before and heard fans yelling at the referees, "What are you, blind?" Well in a recent hockey game in Wenatchee, a coach with the NAHL's Wenatchee Wild was not pleased at the calls going against his team, so he decided to let the referees know it with a very unique protest that brought to life those very words.
Coach Chris Clark took to the ice, wearing glasses and sporting a hockey stick, pretending to be a blind man in a mockery of the referees. Clark was ejected after his display, as well as the head coach.
