Lee-Knight catching up to speed, overcoming obstacles with Americans

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Luke Lee-Knight has started every game in net for the Tri-City Americans since Eric Comrie's hip injury. That is all 12 games so far in January, with another one Wednesday against Prince George. Lee-Knight has seven wins and a 3.74 goals against average. Lee-Knight admits last weekend's back-to-back games were a true test physically.

"It's definitely a bit of fatigue, but I'm taking care of my body well enough. I'm at that age where I know what to be doing and when to do it, when to not," Lee-Knight said.

"If you look at the shots on goal and the quality chances the two teams had over the weekend, it's not just a reflecting of Luke, it's the people that were in front of him. I think collectively we have to tighten up and not allow some of the great scoring opportunities," head coach Jim Hiller added.
