CDA Police: Suspect Arrested For Business Burglary, Guns Missing

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CDA POLICE DEPT: On January 28th 2013 Coeur d'Alene Police Officers responded to 183 W. Haycraft for a business burglary at TKS Painting. Employees discovered the burglary when they opened up for business at 7:00am. A door was kicked in to gain entry, and the business offices were ransacked.

The owner discovered his guns, cash, a large backpack, and a laptop computer were stolen. Detectives collected evidence at the scene that led them to an address and later to suspect Upchurch. One 9mm handgun stolen from TKS Painting was recovered during the investigation. Still missing is a shotgun, a hunting rifle, a 22 caliber handgun, and a 357 revolver as well as the laptop, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Through the course of the investigation officers discovered Upchurch had also attempted to gain entry to business Robideaux Motors on the same date by breaking a window. Nothing was taken in that burglary.

Upchurch has been charged with two counts of burglary and is currently in custody at the Kootenai County Public Safety Building. If anyone has any information on this crime, the location of the stolen guns, as well as the other stolen property contact the Police Department at 789-2320.

    SPOKANE, Wash.- Thursday night there was a candlelight vigil held for Chris and Sheena Henderson in Franklin Park. The vigil was overseen by a Spokane Police Chaplain. He said that today's vigil was about hope, help, healing, and ultimately, forgiveness.On July 8th, Spokane police say 37-year-old Chris Henderson went to the Deaconess Medical Center complex where his wife, 30-year-old Sheena Henderson, worked and shot her multiple times. He then fatally shot himself. No one else was hurt.>>
