'Kill List' Found At North Spokane Middle School

SPOKANE, Wash. - A student at Garry Middle School in North Spokane has been arrested and taken to a juvenile detention center after school officials found a "Kill List" naming fellow students.

It was discovered in a classroom by a teacher Friday afternoon. That teacher brought it to the principal.

Office officials were able to determine what student wrote it and brought him in to talk with him. That is when the student revealed he, "thought it was a joke." He wrote it in class.

Officials checked at his home and found there was no access to weapons of any sort. He will remain in juvenile detention for the weekend.

Normally a student is emergency expelled pending an investigation.

All parents of children on the "Kill List" will be notified.
