DO YOU RECOGNIZE THIS MAN: Puppy Stolen From Northwest Seed And Pet

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. - For the second time in a week a man walked out of Northwest Seed and Pet with a puppy Thursday night.

"It happens a little bit more often that you really might think," said Manager Corey Epley. "The little dogs we keep behind glass because if they're open people are just going to take and they're gone."

Thursday night one man asked for a small dog out of the glass case and while the clerk was busy with a different request of the customer, he took off. Thankfully the cameras got a good look at the man who did this. Nearly every person whose taken off with a dog has eventually been caught and thankfully the cameras got a good look at this guy.

Epley's biggest frustration is that people who do this might not recognize the additional costs to maintain the pet even after they buy it.

"If you can't afford to buy it, you can't afford to keep it," Epley said. "If you can't afford to feed it and do the vet and upkeep on an animal, then you shouldn't have an animal."

If you know the man in the picture please call CrimeCheck at 509-456-2233 or contact our reporter Alex Rozier at Alex.Rozier@khq.com.
