
TOPPENISH, Wash. -- A 14-year-old boy is facing drive-by shooting and 1st degree assault charges.
Toppenish Police were called the 200 block of N D Street around 6pm Friday on a report of shots fired at a residence. When officers arrived to the area, two suspects were seen running away.
Police quickly found the 14-year-old boy and arrested him. The boy is a documented gang member.
After investigating the shooting, police say one of the suspects had fired a pistol at the residence before attempting to run away.
The 14-year-old boy was booked into the Yakima County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of drive by shooting and 6 counts of first degree assault. The second suspect is still on the loose and is described as a Hispanic male and was last seen wearing dark clothing.
Police believe the shooting is gang related.
