WINTHROP, Wash. - While many eyes across the country look to Punxsutawny Phil for their Groundhog Day forecast, those of us in Washington need not look 3,000 miles away, for we have "Wilbur The Winthrop Whistlepig."
Earlier Saturday Phil emerged from his slumber in Pennsylvania to declare he did not see his shadow, indicating we will have an early spring. And hours later in Winthrop, Wilbur the Winthrop Whistlepig concurred with Phil and declared we will indeed have an early spring.
