SPOKANE, Wash. - The Red Cross is assisting one person following an early morning house fire in north Spokane.
Just after midnight Sunday morning, firefighters arrived at a two-story structure in the 1000 block was W. Fairview just off of Monroe. Crews were quickly able to determine there was a fire in the attic of the second floor apartment. All residents were accounted for and using thermal imaging camera, firefighters located the fire and quickly extinguished it.
Firefighters were on scene for a couple of hours removing and cleaning up debris.
The one resident of the apartment will be assisted by the Red Cross until repairs can be made.
No injuries were reported.
